The Trafford Group of Ramblers started with its inaugural walk and meeting on Tuesday 15th June, 2010. This coincided with the 21st Anniversary of the opening of the Trans Pennine Trail.
At the first AGM, on 29 Nov 10, the group was formally adopted as the official Ramblers Association Group for the the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford. The present committee will hold office until the next AGM when they are required to stand down. They may offer themselves for election again, along with any other volunteers, to serve for the following year.
There are currently c 250 members of RTG.
