Trafford is a metropolitan borough in Greater Manchester, England. It has a population of 211,800, covers 41 square miles (106 km2), and includes the towns of Altrincham, Partington, Sale, Stretford, and Urmston.
Trafford is well supported by public transport, including the Metro service into Central Manchester and Bury. The Metro is currently being expanded and will be an increasingly important hub for walkers getting to the rich walking grounds around Manchester. The Peak District, The Yorkshire Dales, The Pennines, The Lake District, and North Wales, are all within the range of Trafford Group.
